A gaggle of geese has gathered, each holding an end of a festive garland of holly leaves. The understated colors and fine detail make it an very elegant design.

There is a beautiful contrast in this design between the sturdy birds worked in cross stitch, and the fine, lace-like patterns of the decorative parts. The snowflakes are worked in backstitch and the garland leaves contain tiny Blackwork motifs.
