British Bird Sampler

Here, united in a single design, are 12  different species of British birds. A keen birdwatcher, designer Lesley Teare is an expert at capturing birds in cross stitch. Atop flying through the clouds is a sparrow. Other birds featured include great tits, wren, sparrow, goldfinch, thrush, blue tit, kingfisher, robin, chaffinch, long-tailed tit. 

The design is framed, with rows of 3 birds in similar color tones, surrounded by flowers, berries and foliage, each row capturing a different season. Should you wish, you could spread your stitching throughout the year, stitching a bird or a row at a time.

The chart was previously released as the Lesley Teare 2024 stitchalong.

The piece is designed to be stitched on any white fabric of your choice, be it Aida, evenweave or linen. The cross stitch pattern includes a couple of fractional stitches for detail. A tutorial is included with the chart for all stitches.
