Blackwork with Spring Flowers

Here are four easy Blackwork and cross stitch patterns featuring spring flowers such as daffodill, prrimroses and violets.If you haven't tried blackwork before, this would be a good opportunity to give it a try.

The Blackwork motif is circular and frames each flower. The flowers are worked in full cross stitches with some backstitch, longstitch and French knot detail. A couple of fractional stitches are used for the tiny flowers in the corners.

Each square pattern measures about 4 1/4 inch (11 x 11 cm) stitched on 14 ct or 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch 9,5 x 9,5 cm on 32ct, perfect for a greeting card.
