We're off to paradise with Perrette Samouiloff, and a delightful pattern that takes us straight to a tropical island. All these lovely colors, it would be a shame not to start stitching straight away!

And now for some fashion fun with this delightful recollection of bathing costumes, also new by Perrette Samouiloff. The 1900's is when going to the seaside became really popular and the more adventurous even donned bathing suits. Beach huts on wheels, drawn by horses into the water, allowed for even more privacy.

Portrait of a magnolia, by Faby Reilly

Faby Reilly captures the stunning blossom of the magnolia tree, branches bursting with spring sap, furry caps splitting open to reveal majestic petals. The branches are arranged in an elegant wreath, on a biscornu cushion which further emphasizes the curves of the petals.

Back in 1837...new by Barbara Ana!

Like an actor bringing a character to life, designer Barbara Ana incarnates Henrietta Goodrich, a young girl creating a sampler to practice her stitches. She starts with a simple flower border and alphabet but gets bolder and bolder, and creative too, as she carries on with her stitching. The palette of threads is gorgeous, the details, the verses are perfect. We just love Barbara Ana's interpretation of Henrietta Goodrich.

Story telling, a stitch at a time

Time spent as a family, playing at the beach, working in the garden or busy preparing for Christmas brings back fond memories. Designer Agnès Delage-Calvet tells it in stitches, with beautiful detail and cheerful colors. She has just released two new patterns that complement her popular "Family Christmas".

Creative Poppy suggests: why not customize the hair and eye colors to match those of family members?
