Ukrainian designer Kateryna (Stitchy Princess) excels at depicting woodland animals. Here she captures in cross stitch a whole family of foxes, six of them in total, in various positions of rest or searching for food in the snow, winter conditions making their lives much harder.
The beauty of this design is the contrast of the two colors, the white of the snow and ice forest contrasting with the warm color of the foxes' fur. A neutral grey evenweave fabric background is used that provides enough contrast for the white motifs to stand out, while blending into the background.
