February - Vintage Coverlet
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Gracewood Stitches
There is a lovely play of light and contrasts in this cross stitch pattern built of Quilting blocks. Kathy Bungard, Gracewood Stitches' designer loves designing quilts but admits she hates to sew. She therefore imagined creating her own patterns in cross stitch, including the colors and motifs for the "fabrics" she uses.
This pattern is designed like a small square blanket or eiderdown, or an old-fashioned bed throw, such as ones used in the winter months to keep snug and warm in bed. The design is thus dedicated to the month of February, the last cold month before the timid arrival of spring. It is part of Gracewood stitches Calendar collection with a cross stitch pattern for each month of the year.
