Seville (Vintage textiles collection)
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Gracewood Stitches
The Seville cross stitch pattern is inspired by the beautiful lace designs worn by women of southern Spain. A sensual and feminine motif, it's part of the Vintage textiles collection created by Kathy Bungard of Gracewood Stitches.
The chart can be used for both cross stitch and needlepoint.
When cross stitched, the motif appears as in the Assisi technique - the motif left unstitched and contrasting with the surrounding background. This creates an attractive dimensional effect.
In the case of needlepoint or tapestry, stitch in tent stitch on blank canvas and simply fill in the voids with white yarn. Tapestry can be a good option if you want to finish the project as a cushion, as it is more resistant to wear and tear.
