September~Carnations is the third design in Gracewood Stiches' calendar collection of patterns.

The design shows a scattering of carnations and butterflies on a ticking stripe background and is cross stitched in rich raspberry shades.

The design is done in the Asissi style of cross stitch where only the background is stitched. Alternatively, the design can be worked in needlepoint using an off white wool for filling in the blanks of the motifs.

We like the vintage feel of this design, reminiscent of period wallpaper, yet with the stripes adding a contemporary touch.
