Kyoto (vintage textiles collection)
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Gracewood Stitches
Kathy Bungard of Gracewood stitches, in her own words:
'Kyoto' is the fourth design in the Vintage Textile collection. Inspired by the beautiful indigo fabrics produced in Japan for many years. I'm always impressed with the sense of movement I find in their motifs.
The pattern is worked in cross stitch, using the Assisi technique of stitching only the background around motif which is not stitched, creating a unique dimensional effect.
As with all the vintage textile patterns, the motif can be extended or trimmed at will, so you can stitch any size porject. The design will look beautiful on a cushion but can also be used for a small pouch, a canvas tote bag, a tray liner. It will look stunning when stitched as a border on a white bath towel.
Blue not your favourite color? The pattern comes in three hues of the same blue. It's super easy to change colors and adapt the pattern to your own.
