With its cabin in the woods, Hansel and Gretel like characters, and black background fabric emphasizing the bright colors and simple folk-like motifs, this Christmas pattern is reminiscent of German fairy tales and folklore. 

 

This pattern being limited in size and only cross stitch is a quick and easy stitch. The colors look stunning on the black background.

 

Creative Poppy tip:

This piece was stitched using two strands on 32 ct black linen from the Zweigart Belfast range. If stitching on 14 ct Aida, consider using three strands of floss so that you get the best possible color coverage on a dark background.
