This cross stitch pattern combines two climbing plants, the sweet pea and the honeysuckle, two flowers that also have a pretty scent. They combine here into a delightful harmony of pink and gold.
The stitching is enhanced with golden metallic threads as well as golden seed-beads for the stamens of the honeysuckle.
The biscornu is a small cushion mounted using two cross stitched squares, with a technique during assembly giving it a beautiful rounded shape. A different motif is stitched on the reverse of the biscornu, showing on the sides of the embroidery when the biscornu is mounted.
