When the very first snowdrops appear, an early sign that spring is on the way, our hearts are filled with joy.

 

The tiny flowers are full of contrast, strong enough to pierce through the ground in the midst of winter, yet fine and fragile, with heavy white petals hanging towards the ground, as if they were exhausted with the effort. Here is Faby Reilly's exquisite rendering of the flowers in needlework, they look so real you would think they came straight from the garden.

 

The design comes in 3 versions. This is the needlebook, which you can pair with the matching Scissor case (sold separately) as well as a biscornu in the same series. The biscornu can be used as a pincushion so together they will form a very attractive collection of needlework accessories, which you can keep for yourself or gift to a friend.

 

The needlebook has a design for both the front and the back cover as well as the inside of the cover. A felt "page" is attached inside to hold the needles. The spine of the "book" is beautifully embellished with beading.

The chart includes some specially stitches, with decorative eyelets combined with sequins, as well as white bead embellishments. There are some metallic highlights using DMC Diamant silver thread
 

A tutorial is included with the chart for all specialty stitches and there are very detailed mounting instructions guiding you through the process and finishing touches.
