This exquisite cross stitch design features ribbon like arabesques in soft pastel metallic colors, as if they were transparent, evocative of Northern Lights. It is further embellished with mother of pearl sequins and seed beads as well as ornemental specialty stitches, that include whipped backstitch and round eyelet stitch, and come with excellent tutorials.

The star shape is expertly designed. Designer Faby Reilly includes a template for the back of the star which is slightly smaller so as to emphasize the stitched parts on the front.

This piece is designed to be tied using a ribbon bow at the back, for instance to top your Christmas tree, or alternatively your could skip the bow  and use it as a hanging ornament. It will measure just under six inch (15 cm) when stitched on 28ct.
