This delightful beach pattern focuses on a heavy anchor and its chuncky chain, with a clever use of chainstitch in multiple strands to bring texture to the foreground.

The background cross stitch scene includes much exquisitely designed detail including seashells, lighthouse, seagulls and sailboat. Notice the detail in the lighthouse where there is a tiny door on each level. The beak of the seagull, as well as its tail, is worked in fractional stitch for finer detail.

Part of the Masterclass* program by Faby Reilly, this pattern focuses - as you will have guessed - on the chain stitch. The pattern includes an extensive guide providing all the steps, particularities and tips for achieving perfect chainstitches. The specialty stitch is used not only for the anchor's chain, but also for framing the scene.

The user-friendly chart comes in two-steps, first the cross stitch, then all additional stitches.

The chart also includes tips for framing. Minimum size frame is 7 x 4 inch (18 cm x 10cm). You can also mount the piece in the center of a rectangular cushion.
