Personalize your Christmas tree with this clever cross-stitched Xmas tree skirt idea from Faby Reilly.
The designer assembled 6 panels of extra large count Aida (available in 6ct from DMC as "XXL fabric").The front piece is cross stitched and the other parts are decorated with ribbons. You could also substitute the other panels with pretty coordinated Xmas fabric.

This piece is quick to stitch as you will be making extra large crosses (6 cross stitches to an inch) and using 6 strands of embroidery floss at a time. >> tips for stitching on 6ct Aida

Faby Reilly likes to include embellishments (beads, metallics) and a few specialty stitches in her patterns. For extra-easy reading her charts are provided in two steps: Cross stitching only and Cross stitch with backstitch, beads and specialty stitches.
