Hope (sometimes a light suprises)
COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART BY GRACEWOOD STITCHES
Kathy Bungard designer of Gracewood Stitches describes the pattern in her own words:
'Hope' is inspired by the poem, Light Shining in Darkness, by William Cowper. Cowper experienced many dark days in his life, and yet he also knew that '..... Sometimes a Light Surprises...'
I designed it in colors of blue and yellow embroidery floss, combining both flowing florals and geometric motifs to reflect how emotions can change from dark to light and from hard edges to soft curves.
