Hidden treasures
This is not your usual Quaker design. Granted Deborah A. Dick of Tempting Tangles is certainly one of the most skilled Quaker style designers, creating the most complex and elegant medallions, diamonds, corner triangles and motifs of the most unusual shapes. However here comes an extra bonus with hidden motifs: some swans are easy to find, but will you find all the scissors and shears?

Home deco: home made cushions - ready to customize
These folk designs by Riverdrift House offer a wealth of possibilities. We see an invitation to play around with your favourite overdyed or variegated threads. Or, to make pairs, a large and a smaller one, using the inner square motif and inverting the colors for the smaller cushion. Part of the fun of cross stitch is taking a design into your own hand and adapting it. Do show us and send photos of your finished projects!

Burning Love
Feelings of love expressed with force and symbolism, as well as immense tenderness. Barbara Ana takes cross stitch to wonderful unexplored territory, where a heart burns in the shape of a tulip-like flame, where a mane of red hair grows into branches and blooming flowers...
Barbara Ana said she especially enjoyed stitching this piece, in particular the lady's hair. So will we no doubt!

5 Matryoshka dolls, each with a little surprise inside
Kyoko Maruoka, the designer of GERA! has just brought out a new collection of matryoska. There are 5 in this set and each of them serves as a different needlework accessory. The smallest of the dolls houses a needle-threader, also acting as a fob. The medium doll opens in the shape of butterfly wings, to neatly store needles, and so on ... The finishing touches are superb: the work of a real pro!

Bold and Blooming
Designed by Dana Batho of Peacock & Fig, a new collection of empowering quotes set on an exquisite background of spring flowers.
The beauty of these designs lies in the contrast between the bold, sparkly quotes and the elegance and refinement of the stitching.
A number of the cross stitch patterns include some amazing woven roses, giving extra dimension to the needlework.
The pattern below is a little different. As opposed to the cross stitch patterns above, it is entirey stitched using embroidery stitches, a mix of stem stitch, lazy daisy stitch, satin stitch and again these beautiful woven roses.

Spring Flowers and outstanding Anemones
There could be no further contrast between the spring flowers in the background - sweet daffodills, primroses and pansies, worked in cross stitch in warm yellows, and these striking purple anemones. Lesley Teare's signature Blackwork style is full of inventive little motifs that add texture and impact to her designs.

Fairy Fingers
A tribute of Shannon Christine to all the fairy fingers, all the little hands that cannot resist the temptation of playing around with yarn, fabrics, ribbons and trimmings, beads and button. Isn't that you?
We particularly like this design, not only because it is so decorative, but also because it is so versatile and lends itself to many creative ideas and projects. Do you like cardboard projects? Make a stunning sewing box. Sewing? Creative an organiser with pretty pockets inside. We're sure you will come up with fun ideas. Send us photos!
