Long May She Wave is an interesting tribute to everything American. Uncle Sam and the American flag feature prominently. More discreet is Betsy Ross, needle in hand, just about finishing sewing the very first American flag. So in a way, its also a tribute to the women behind the great men.
The cross stitch pattern features a tiny cartouche in petite stitch (over one thread) with the date 1778.
