A flamboyant heart evocative of passionate love, with a beating heart, topped by a prism and ciselled diamond, with red fames shooting up, turning into wild blooms. Two wings and "earings" add a touch of feminity and elegance to this extraordinary pattern by the ever creative Barbara Ana. 

Asked if there was any symbolism in the design, Barbara said that, while each stitcher would find their own personal interpretation, "sometimes, the most precious things are born under pressure, like diamonds".  

The colors are amazing too, rich and cheerful. Notice how the designer skillfuly balances depths of colors so that the heart shapes gains volume. The chart pallette uses a very effective combination of colors, with 3 solid colors combined with no fewer that 6 nuanced threads from the DMC Color Variations range. The latter skeins are a subtle combination of 4 shades and colors, changing every 6 stitches or so. To emphasize the variations in color, make sure to complete each cross stitch at a time (rather than completing rows back and forth).
