This quirky cross stitch piece by Barbara Ana is a play with symbols: the perfect triangle of fruit, the symetrical plants overhanging like giant stalks, the quaker motifs in the background. There is a vivid contrast between the fruit, stitched in a rich palet of red and warm colors, and the other elements, all in hues of grey and beige, as if the fruit represented life.
An alphabet is provided with the chart so you can personalize the initials in the cartouche.
The piece was stitched on 32 ct. Dirty linen from Zweigart and finished in a flat cushion, with a ric rac trimming (cushion instructions are not included).
