This is Barbara Ana's exuberant tribute to David Bowie and offers a female version of his famous Stardust single hit. You're bound to soon be humming "There's a star (wo)man waiting in the sky...." as you stitch along.
Notice the hint at the rockstar's hair style and asymetrical make-up, the dark lips, the creative outfit with beads hanging from square shoulders reminiscent of the 70's.
A small rocket is taking off. Stars illuminate the sky, with interesting hallows worked in half stitch. The character seems to be popping out of lantern, as if it were a candle.
The cross stitch pattern is worked in 14 warm fiery floss colors on 32 ct Pearl Grey Murano evenweave from Zweigart.
