Horrorville, Halloween village
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Barbara Ana Designs
A large pattern packed with fun Halloween motifs to cross stitch, vintage Barbara Ana.
A the base of the pattern is a cheerful little village where every single house has its own shape and character, but all are decorated, ready to celebrate Halloween. Witches are busy gathering ripe berries or sweeping their yards as their black cats roam.
Beyond is the forest, with tall trees, oversize mushroom and peopled with witches casting their spells. It gets wilder as you move up, come across a bubbling chauldron surrounded by skulls, scary skeletons and ghosts among the last houses of the village. Bats fly. A creepy carnivorous plant opens its menacing jaws - yet a witch sleeps on a roof, blissfully unconcerned by her strange surroundings.
Follow the road filled with remains of dead fish and black puddles, pass a threatening wolf and you will reach the cemetary. Tombs are covered with green moss and ghosts play hide and seek under the watchfull eyes of the owls. A lone tree arches over the gloomy surroudings, heavy with strange black keys.
Yet as your eye moves up, you will see the woods and a peaceful night sky, illuminated by the full moon and plenty of Shaker style stars.
Each single cross stitch motif will be a great pleasure to stitch, as the pattern tells its story.
