Dreaming of Van Gogh
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Barbara Ana Designs
In the Dreaming girl series, here is a stunning design paying tribute to the Impressionist artist and painter.
The original work that inspired Barbara Ana was painted while Vincent Van Gogh was staying in an asylium in Saint-Remy in southern France, treated for his mental illness. His vision of Starry Night was the view from his window, with a large cypress and the Provence landscape and mountain backdrop seen in the moonlight, with a bright Venus among the stars.
In her depiction of the landscape, Barbara Ana has done a magnificient work of expressing in cross stitch the movement, feel and colors that the tormented artist used in the original work. To the right of the work is Barbara Ana's dreaming girl, in vivid yellows and orange, her hair like a burning flame, blending into the sky.
