CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Barbara Ana Designs

With scissors, pins and needles, threads and embroidery hoops, these two cats have their hands full, busy as they are at their favorite needlework activities. The pattern is divided in 3 parts, with the central scene featuring the two cats. A magnificient quilt occupies the lower part, and is filled with an extraordinary number of mini motifs, including even eggs and bacon, sardines, ice-cream and a banana. The upper part of the design symbolises a home, with the roof - in a mock black and white, actually blue - quaker style motifs, contrasting with two active chimney from which flames and smoke escape.

The pattern offers two alternative charts, depending on whether or not you want to stitch the turquoise background.

Option 1 (first and main image) is stitched on luminous grass green fabric, offering a great contrast with the colors used.

Option 2 (second and last image) is stitched using an extra turquoise color for the background of the central part, and is stitched on a neutral natural color background.

Whatever you choice of color, Designer Barbara Ana suggests you stitch the design on 28ct Linda evenweave (#1235), which is a very regular cotton, and stitch over 2 threads. Alternatively, you can stitch on the fabric of your choice.
