When it comes to Christmas projects, there is nothing more cheerful than stitching a Barbara Ana pattern, so creative and full of wonderful unexpected detail.

Take the latest Christmas flower, initially launched as the 2024 Christmas SAL: From a distance, it's a tall stemed round flower, made of many tiny petals. Look close and you will discover the tiny details that fill the pattern. Notice Mr and Mrs Claus climbing up the stem, taking a break on a large leaf, each with a tiny twig in hand. Move upwards and you will come accross a multitude of small flowers, each of them different in terms of color and shape. And then, hidden within, Barbara Ana's leitmotif themes, a snowman, houses, hearts and even a lone "eye" staring at us against a background of falling snow.

The piece is worked on 25 ct Stone Grey Lugana by Zweigart , in color 3021. It's an easy stitch with full cross stitch only and, while worked over two fabric threads, the fabric is really user friendly, facilitating the stitching and the mounting (Lugana is easy to maintain crease-free). The natural color is perfect for enhancing Barbara Ana's colorful palette.
