Cross stitch trend: Xmas will be all glitter and shine
Add sparkle and fun to Christmas and holiday projects with metallic embroidery floss and beads
Here’s a selection of patterns where designers used specialty threads – as well as a few beads - to enhance their stitching and make it really festive.
Tam's Creations offers a beautiful series of biscornus (one is pictured here) all embellished with precious gold and sparkling colors. See the beautiful range of colors selected by the designer. .jpg) The largest range of metallics available to stitchers is the DMC range, which covers many hues of gold and silver as well as luminous bright colors with a dozen jewel-like effects (ruby reds, emerald greens, topaz and aquamarine....).
Our designers picked these metallics because of the extensive color range but also because they are easy to find. You can of course always substitute your own favorite metallics in a similar color.
