New flower patterns by Faby Reilly
She has done it again! Designer Faby Reilly shows a huge talent in depicting even the simplest, most humble flower. We love the warm yellow tones of the buttercup petals, enriched with tiny gold beads. And what about the more exotic lotus flower with its warm pink (almost a touch of orange there) cup-like petals?
Last but not least, the popular Plum design is now available as a bookmark. These are all great projects and gift ideas to choose from.

Poetic inspiration
We love this new violet design by Faby Reilly. It reminds us of a poem by the Britsih 18th century poet Jane Taylor:
"Down in a green and shady bed,
A modest violet grew;
Its stalk was bent, it hung its head
As if to hide from view..."
And here's some more exciting news from Faby Reilly. The lovely little needlebook project, that is so popular in the lavender bouquet range is now available in the plum orchid and butterfly series. They are so cute!
You can now stitch a complete set of stitchers accessories in all 3 collections including the scissor case, the needlebook and a biscornu used as a pincushion. You can check out Faby Reilly's excellent tutorial on our free tutorials page. It also naturally comes with any needlebook pattern you buy.

A golden orchid by Faby Reilly
Quite an achievement! With her fantastic eye for rendering flowers in cross stitch, Faby Reilly has now come up with a beautiful orchid, its long stem gently curved to fit onto a biscornu. It's so gorgeous you might rather want to frame your stitched piece to display it in your home. You can vary the background color to match your own interior.
Many other patterns by the designer have now been added to our website in varied collections including two Frosty designs (humbug and biscornu), a Cornflower humbug and the Lavender scissor case show below.
Finally, here's an interesting pattern to get you started on some specialty stitches such as the ribbed spiderweb stitch, Rhodes heart or lazy daisy. The stitched project can then be used as a pretty wrap to hold chocolates.

New interesting ornament shapes by Faby Reilly
Pendeloque ou pendant, what is exactly the difference?
The "pendeloque" is a pretty pear-like shape, stitched on all four sides, tapered at the top and square at the base, with a stiched pattern winding all around the ornament.
By contrast, the diamond pendant is a more geometrical shape with three sides, each a diamond shape and a separate pattern.
Both are unique projects by Faby Reilly, to stitch for Christmas!
