Here's the latest pattern by Barbara Ana, a real cutie of a scissor fob with a fun Halloween theme. We just love the little black and purple laced boots! It matches theOwl-o-ween scissor fob that came out not long ago and the bootscornu (makes a handy pincushion).
Why not treat yourself and your friends to a few Halloween treats (like scissor fobs and biscornu pincushions)? There's no reason after all that just the kids should have fun!

It looks like Barbara Ana had a really great time designing this colorful pattern.

New from Barbara Ana: Hummingbirds scissor fob
Here's an exciting project that we are sure will delight many stitchers. First it's really useful because it's a rather big scissor fob, so you'll be sure never - ever again - to lose your scissors (think big hotel keys!). Second, the pattern features three delightful hummingbirds in gorgeous colors (spot the fine detail of the eyes). And finally, you'll have fun putting it all together, making a twisted cord and tassel, and mounting the two small square cushions (slipstitch method) with the beads and cord.

We are happy to feature 3 new designs that we have just received from Barbara Ana. Two of them are biscornus, in very different styles. We love the Kokeshi, the Japanese doll and hope the designer will make some more so that we can start collecting them!

Ideas for stitching: fitting a pattern onto a scissor fob  
Here's an idea we received from Jenifer:
"I made this adorable scissor fob out of the Barbara Ana "Don't Bug Me I'm Stitching" design. I stitched it 1 over 1 on 28 count evenweave. I also used glow in the dark DMC for the eye's!
Barbara Ana designs are so colorful and fun."
What a great idea! If you're patient enough (and have a good eyesight) you can turn any medium size pattern into a miniature by stitching one over one. This pattern is 41 x 61 stitches (w x h) and turned out 1 1/2 x 2 inches when stitched.
